YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT


︎OBJECTIVE:
This mock campaign for health food aims to educate and inspire healthy eating habits while emphasizing the message that "You are what you eat". The everyday sayings serve as a fresh take on the connection between people and food. For instance: "Say Cheese" aren’t just about getting you to smile for a photo, cheese actually are scientifically proven to make humans happier and “cheese” bigger.
︎DESIGN PROCESS:
I explored various food idioms that allowed for word play to be incorporated into the central message. I then researched the scientific benefits and facts of those foods and incorporated relevant excerpts that I wrote.
The serif font was chosen to mimic a public advertisement poster for health promotion, with a twist of bright colors and food-related subjects to add a surprising and humorous element. Moreover, the publication's format can be viewed as both a manual and a decorative book, suitable for placement on dining or tea tables for guests to peruse.
