ANIMOSAIC: AT ONE WITH NATURE
︎OBJECTIVE:
I was tasked by the Copenhagen Zoo to ceate a visual design concept that allows future zoos to expand their audience to a wider age range of people and raise awareness about their conservation efforts.
︎DESIGN PROCESS:
What if zoos created a make-believe world where animals become the landscapes? Enter Animosaic (pronounced animal-saic), where the broader picture involves humans, nature, and animals coexisting.
My aim in this imaginative concept is to extend the possibilities of zoos beyond reality. Traditional zoos limit experiences to observing animals in captivity. So Animosaic seeks to engage not only children but also teenagers and adults, encouraging them to use their imagination during visits, making each trip vivid and unique. This theme also reinforces the zoo's mission of promoting the importance of preserving natural habitats, emphasizing that animals are integral to our survival and well-being.
