Bose Speakers Durability Videos

OBJECTIVE
As the Art Director Co-Op, I led the creation of two speaker durability test videos from concept to completion (SoundLink Micro (2nd gen) and SoundLink Plus). I developed storyboards, crafted music briefs in collaboration with UnitedMasters, directed the shoots, and worked closely with the videographer and editor through post-production.
    KEY DELIVERABLES

2x Long-Form Montage Video (under :20s) of durability tests for use across global channels
    • Short-Form Test Clips to support site editorial and performance media needs

    ① Final Videos

    SoundLink Mirco (2nd gen)

    SoundLink Plus

    ② Storyboards

    SoundLink Micro (2nd gen)
For this video, I approached the edit with a narrative lens rather than simply presenting product features. Each test transitions purposefully into the next,  such as the sand test flowing seamlessly into the water test, creating a cohesive, story-driven progression. I collaborated closely with the copywriter co-op to align messaging with each key frame, and outlined in my storyboard which specific product feature each test was designed to highlight.

      SoundLink Plus
This video emphasizes building intensity and leveling up, with each stage reflected in the evolving tests and dynamic music. The progression creates a sense of momentum, highlighting the product’s durability in surprising ways.

      Music Brief

      SoundLink Mirco (2nd gen)

For this track, think early 2000s alt-rock blended with mid 90s garage band sound. The music should be free of vocals and instead be filled with punchy riffs that hook in viewers. This energetic and raw track will emphasize every drop, hit, and splash the speaker takes during the durability tests.Examples:

      “Break Stuff” – Limp Bizkit
“Hitchin’ a Ride” – Green Day
      “Americana” – The Offspring
“Bulls on Parade” – Rage Against The Machine
“Suck My Kiss” – Red Hot Chili Peppers

      SoundLink Plus

We want a high-intensity, beat-driven track in the big beat genre. The SoundLink Plus is ready for any moment, even the unexpected, and the track should reflect that.

Think of a sci-fi chase scene with all the rising tension, building momentum, and sudden drops. This will mirror the rising intensity of each durability test and emphasize its impact. Through this, the SoundLink Plus will keep playing, tough and unstoppable.
      Examples:

      "Supermoves" – Overseer
      "Crash & Burn" – Nemesea
      "Velocity Shift" – Overseer
      "Bassheads" – Cut La Roc
      "Def Beat" – Junkie XL

      ④ Behind the Scenes
