Digital Instruments





OBJECTIVE
The focus of this project was to challenge conventional definitions of instruments and explore musical computer-human interactions. Drawing inspiration from innovative creations like mi-miu gloves, I created digital instruments that integrate the human body into the process of sound creation.

Using custom hardware, pure data, and python, I reimagined appearances of instruments such as an organ and pianos by juxtaposing traditional tones with a modern and scientifically inspired design.

    Electronic harp that uses leap motion to track user’s hand passion and motion (e.g. clapping). Sound is produced if user’s hand crosses the threshold of the z in the xyz plane
